Loyalsock Township Middle School band invited to state conference in Erie
Loyalsock Township School District said its seventh- and eighth-grade band has been selected to perform at the 2027 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Conference at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie on April 15, 2027.
The district said the band was chosen through an audition process involving approximately 100 ensembles from across Pennsylvania. The ensemble is scheduled to give a 30-minute performance featuring selections from its school-year repertoire, according to the announcement.
The district said this will be the fourth ensemble in its history invited to perform at the conference. It credited the achievement to the band’s work and the efforts of the district’s music department, teachers, administrators and staff.
The announcement also said Loyalsock received the NAMM Foundation’s Best Communities for Music Education designation for the 16th consecutive year in 2026, and that Donald E. Schick Elementary School’s music program received Music for All’s 2026 Advocacy in Action Award for Elementary Excellence.
