Little League International says its World of Little League Museum in South Williamsport is featuring new October material about baseball history, including a ball hit by Babe Ruth in Williamsport in 1923 and three generations of Little League bats. The organization announced the monthly “From the Vault” feature on Oct. 22.
According to Little League International, the October feature includes a closer look at a baseball Ruth hit during an exhibition game in Williamsport on Oct. 31, 1923. The museum also presents wood and aluminum Little League bats, along with a bat used in the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport.
The announcement says the museum’s director, Adam Thompson, gives viewers a preview of those items and of an Olympic helmet and gloves worn by hockey player Chris Drury, which are on display at the museum.
The World of Little League: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store is at 525 Montgomery Pike, U.S. Route 15, in South Williamsport, according to the organization. The announcement directs visitors to LittleLeagueMuseum.org for museum hours, admission prices and updates, or lists the museum phone number as 570-326-3607.
